Program Status Reporting - Configuration and Setup

We have been using project status reporting for a couple of years now and are ready to begin producing program status reports from SPM.

Is there a configuration/implementation guide to know what we can turn on/off, etc.?  Welcome any words of wisdom and guidance based on other's lessons learned.

Thank you in advance!

The instructions in this link are incorrect as you cannot print a Program report in Vancouver. Weirdly you can enter the data just like a Project Status report but it is not printable. There is also no trend view of the status of the program like there is at Project level.

Just adding to the above, the option to print a program status report is very much available in my Vancouver (patch 7) instance.

Hi @Marjorie Bradbu,
I hope you are doing well,

There are many requirements from clients regarding "Project Status Report and Program Status Reports" generations

Do we have any useful videos or links to familiarize ourselves with the Project Status Report and Program Status Reports functionality

Do we have any OOB automation are exists to auto-generate these reports daily/weekly/monthly?

Thanks in advance for your response

Hi @Marjorie Bradbu ,

I worked with a similar use case in my experience at Work4flow. The following steps worked for me:

  • Access the SPM module in your ServiceNow instance.

  • Navigate to the program management section.

  • Explore the configuration options for program status reporting.

  • Refer to ServiceNow documentation or guides for detailed instructions on enabling and customizing program status reports.

  • Customize the status report template based on your organization's needs.

  • Ensure all necessary fields are configured and populated for accurate reporting.

  • Set up automated reporting schedules if required.

Give this a try, and let me know if any confusion. I'll be happy to assist.
