Project baseline not working in Next Experience

Project baseline renders in Planning Console (Classic) but not in new Project Workspace after MS Project re-import

Environment: SPM Pro, [ glide-zurich-07-01-2025_patch7a-03-24-2026 ] [Project workspace installed version 6.3.2]

We have a project baseline that displays correctly in the Classic Planning Console (grey baseline bars + Baseline Start/End/Variance), but in the new Project Workspace the baseline bars do not render at all. The data in the baseline appears intact.

The issue began after re-importing an MS Project (2021) file into the existing project. My working theory is that the re-import deletes and recreates the project tasks with new sys_ids, which orphans the task references on the baseline item records — so the Workspace Gantt, which joins strictly on the current task, finds nothing to render, while Classic still paints.

While researching I found PRB1456826 / KB0964588 ("Planning Console Baseline Errors"), where the baseline fails to render with a browser console error, TypeError: Cannot set property 'baseline_start_date' of undefined, caused by non-task records (e.g. Requirements/Decisions) sitting in the Schedule Baselines related list. The recommended workaround is to delete any baseline item records that are not Project Tasks/Projects.

My questions:
1. Is the blank Workspace baseline the same defect as PRB1456826, or a separate issue specific to the re-import orphaning scenario?
2. Does the same workaround — removing baseline items that don't point to a valid project task (including orphaned/blank task references from re-import) — apply here?
3. What is the Fixed In / Intended Fix Version for PRB1456826, and would a Zurich-level instance already include it?

Appreciate any guidance. Thanks!
