How to compute project OTD (on time delivery)? What dates (OOB available in Project) to use to calculate OTD?

Not sure I understand your question. You have the Planned end date and the Actual end date fields on the form. Depending on what you are looking for: these are the fields determining if you were on time or not.

Hello Mark,

That was our initial thought as well, but we were advised that Actual end date field is overridden by Planned end date value when project completes. Do you have information that states otherwise? Were we misinformed?

It's actual the other way around: OOB the Planned end date is over written with the actual end date. But you do also have the 'approved end date' you can report against.

Thanks Mark.

Would it be possible for us to populate the 'Approved end date' with Baseline end date?

What is the impact with this approach?

In our process, we require PMs to 'Create Baseline' when Project is submitted for approval to advance from Planning to Executing so that we can use the baseline end date to measure OTD. (The expectation is the firm schedule is created and approved prior to Executing.)

What is your recommendation for leveraging Baseline for OTD?

Thanks,
