Project Workspace Bugs

My team has been trying to exclusively leverage project workspace for our projects and it has a lot of potential. However, there are still SO MANY BUGS. What is the plan for resolving the following issues:

 

Planning

Columns Do Not Persist

Project Workspace columns not only reset to default in individual projects, they reset to defaults if you navigate out of THE SAME project and come back. Why even have options for columns if your preferences don't stick as they do in the Service Management tools and the Classic Planning Console? 

 

 

New Tasks

1- You can't create a specific # of child tasks as you could in classic.

2- Anytime you create a new task and hit enter, another new task is autocreated below. Which means you have to take an extra step to go delete the one you didn't need.

 

Docs Tool

New tabs 

1- Completely arbitrary placement. You can't make your note tabs chronological. They appear above and below and in-between there is NO rhyme or reason.

2- No drag and drop. The random tabs can't be re-ordered. It's messy

3- Other people can access and modify (aka mess up) your notes templates

 

Mentioning Records

You should be able to search by task number as well. Key word searching is not always successful.

 

RIDAC

Would be nice to have list auto-expand rather than always be collapsed. It's an extra click every time you go in to check

Which means you have to take an extra step to go delete the one you didn't need." => this was brought up in various webinars and design related events on New PW so I think SN will look into it (at some point), but meanwhile a quick fix is to select ESC right after the new row gets created (whilst row is in edit mode), when you clicked Enter previously. It is not ideal, but I think it's better than to allow the creation and then to delete the row 🙂

We just starting using this in Xanadau and are also seeing the the columns do not persist in the Planning area, which makes it hard to use if you have to reset them every time.   I have not been able to figure out when they reset, they seem to stay for a sessions, but the next day are back to the default.
