Project Workspace Financials - Actuals Widget

I’m reviewing the Financials section in Project Workspace and noticed that the top widget showing actuals doesn’t match the full-scope numbers in the table below. I’ve generated all labor costs and adjusted the filters, but it’s still not accounting for nearly $2 million. Has anyone else encountered this discrepancy?

I'll preface my response be stating that we just migrated to SPM and we are new users. Having encountered a similar scenario, I would ask if you have created expense lines for costs for each project? We did migrate multiple project from the previous platforms that were already in motion and for which costs had already been incurred. We did not have a very deep migration strategy so we are manually updating many items, including financial transactions already realized. We found that adding an expense  line and associating it with the corresponding cost plan helped bridge the gap.
