"Report visible only to a specific user or group' show for a report ?

Hi,

I have created a report that runs on a table that is part of custom app, have also removed the ACL role of view and create so that everyone can view and create the issues. But I am getting below error on the report in dashboard.

"Report visible only to a specific user or group"

Thanks,

Abhinav

Really obscure option to find, but that's likely because of the problem this posses.  I don't want to share the report with a user or group.  I want the report viewable to a role.  You know, like how everything else works in the platform (tables, modules, etc).  One would assume that making the table and module viewable would be sufficient, it's really bizarre that the report is not visible and requires something outside of the ACLs, and that there doesn't seem to be ACLs on reports.  Be nice if things were consistent.

So, is there a practical solution to this or do you just have to make reports visible to Everyone which then may cause other potential issues?  That is, you can't make a group in an application so there seems no way to properly associate the report visibility with the desired Role.

Anyone have already found out, why it is needed to share on report level as well to a user or group. Instead of only on dashboard level. Does this maybe have to do with Scope Global? Some of our reports were not on report level shared, but several users with no special rights, are able to see it.

I have the same issue(Vancouver). The report my knowledge admin cannot see on the knowledge management overview dashboard, is a report she can see when she goes to the report herself! It is shared on the knowledge_admin role that she has, so it is shared, both on the dashboard and on the report itself. This makes no sense...

Hi @Alex87 , @arnoh and everyone,

For the reports added on the dashboard, you have to give the access for every report on that dashboard for the users or groups to view them.

Giving access at the dashboard level does not automatically provide access at the report level.

I know this is not how users expect this behaviour. This was discussed earlier.
