Resource Assignment for Stories Not Visible on Project Workspace Resource Board

Hi Everyone,

We are exploring the Resource Assignment functionality in Project Workspace and have observed an inconsistent behavior when assigning resources to stories.

When we create and submit a resource assignment for a story, the assignment does not appear on the Resource Board in Project Workspace and the below message is displayed. However, this issue occurs only for certain resource assignments while others work as expected.

Could anyone help clarify what are the default conditions or criteria that determine whether a resource assignment appears on the Resource Board. Are there any restrictions or dependencies related to the story, resource or resource assignment record that could prevent it from appearing?

Any guidance on  this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Hello ShaidaC - If a RA does not match the RMW boards filter conditions (the conditions are determined by the user), it will not show on the board.  There are no filter conditions per se when viewing from PW because the view is contextual.  We are considering adding a mouse over to explain the delta (planned delivery is Nov\Dec).  Would that resolve the issue for you?

Hi @ShaidaC  When the Resource board is opened from Project workspace, a filter (top_task.sys_id=<Project sys id>) along with the start and end dates of the Project is applied.

While creating assignment, the project is auto populated in task field. However if that is updated to some other value(other project or story), then the assignment created will not fall under the current resource board filter criteria and a message that you shared in screenshot will be displayed.
