Hello Pinky,
I'm on the Product Management side of the house, so my answer will be somewhat biased.
As a rule, I would recommend the resource assignments. They are part of the next experience and are required if you want to leverage the new Resource Management Workspace, the new Capacity Planning, or the lower tray in Project Workspace to manage resources on projects. There was a strong push with resource assignments to simplify the experience and give the project managers more options, but still giving clients the ability to let their resource managers maintain control.
I do understand that some clients have specific needs when managing resources, and in some cases there may be a feature that is currently only available in the legacy resource plans or may be available to resource assignments but in a release you are not yet on. Depending on how you want to manage resources AND the release you are on, your implementation consultant should be able to make a suggestion.
Take care and best of luck,
Chris

Hi @pinkymendoza,
As a first-time user of the Resource Management application in ServiceNow, it is generally better to start with Resource Plans rather than directly using Resource Assignments.
If this answer was helpful, I would appreciate if you marked it as such - thanks!

Hello @Chris Cannella , we have a customer that has resource groups with more then 100 users or have requirement to filter on specic atributes, that will bring result of more then 100 users.
however there seems to be a limitation on the Resource Management Workspace. When I am defining the Resource card to filter the resources, I get this error:
This filter is fetching more than 100 resources. Please modify your filter to be less than 100 resources
I cannot display ANY resources if the result would bring more then 100 users. Could you please confirm if there is a way to configure to remove the limit or increase the limit? like this the workspace is unusable for large organizations and our customers.
Thank you
