Resource Plan Allocations

This document on SN indicates resource plans in an allocated state can be modified. Confirm and allocate a resource plan (servicenow.com). In our instance, the only action we can take on allocate resource plans is to extend the end date or replace user. Is it truly OOB to modify more than that on an allocated resource plan?

Hi @Maddie Wolf ,
I trust you are doing great.

According to the official ServiceNow documentation, resource plans in an allocated state can indeed be modified. However, based on your instance configuration, it appears that the only actions you can currently perform on allocated resource plans are to extend the end date or replace the user assigned to the plan.

To modify resource plans beyond these options, you may need to customize your instance. This customization would involve making changes to the configuration or development of additional functionalities using ServiceNow's customization options like Business Rules, Client Scripts, or Server-side scripts.

Please note that modifying the behavior of allocated resource plans would require careful consideration and testing to ensure it aligns with your specific requirements and does not impact other areas of your instance.
