Based on your scenario, it sounds like the member is only seeing the one resource plan directly assigned to them, even though they're part of a group assigned to multiple resource plans. Here are the possible reasons and best practices to resolve this
Based on your scenario, it sounds like the member is only seeing the one resource plan directly assigned to them, even though they're part of a group assigned to multiple resource plans.
In ServiceNow's Resource Management, if a user sees only one Resource Plan in their timesheet, despite being assigned to a group that has multiple plans in Allocated state, here are some points to check:
1. Check Resource Allocation Type
Ensure all 4 Resource Plans are allocated to the group, not just one to the individual.
If one plan is assigned directly to the user, it will take precedence, and others assigned only to the group may not be visible unless the user is specifically allocated.
2. Assignment Method
For each Resource Plan, confirm whether the Resource field is populated with:
The group name only (group allocation), or
The individual user (individual allocation)
If only the group is listed, and the user is newly added, you may need to regenerate allocations.
3. Recalculate Allocations
Navigate to each Resource Plan and use the “Recalculate Allocation” UI action after the user was added to the group.
This ensures the system recalculates hours for newly added group members.
4. Time Sheet Policy
Check Time Sheet Policies for any restrictions that filter what plans show up for submission.
5. Dates and Allocation Period
Confirm the allocation periods on all 4 plans include the date range of the timesheet.
If any plan’s allocation period doesn’t cover the timesheet week, it won’t appear.
6. Check 'Planned Task' Field
If Resource Plans are linked to different tasks, only those within the user’s project scope or access rights may appear.
Recommendation:
Open each of the 4 Resource Plans.
Verify the group assignment, state = Allocated, and allocation dates.
Recalculate allocation if user was added after initial plan was created.
Consider assigning the member directly if group allocation continues to not reflect in the timesheet.
