Role required to enter in idea in Demand

I've granted a user the it_portfolio_manager role. When she accesses Demand from the menu, the form that comes up only contains tabs for Assessment Data, Notes and Resource Cost with no provision to enter in any data. When I login as a user with Admin rights the entire form loads up on the screen.

Can anyone suggest any additional roles that I need to add to enable the user to add new ideas?

Thanks

Marc

Hello Marc,

I think there seems to be an ACL failing on this.

Please check that there is a read acl for demand.none and demand.* giving 'it_portfolio_manager' access to read.

Also, it might be the it_demand_manager user having access the table. My suggestion would be to give 'it_demand_manager' role to the user and see if he is able to access.

Thanks,

Abhishek

Thx for your response. The user is already it_demand_manager as well. Pardon my naivete but where would I go to check the ACL settings you referenced?

Thx

Marc

Hey Marc,

Also, check if the user has 'demand_user' role.

Please follow below:

1) Go to System Security >> Access Control (ACL)

2) On the list view, search for "Name contains dmn_demand" and 'Operation is read'

You can open the record and see if the ACL is configured properly to have the right role.

Thanks,

Abhishek

Thx. I checked and everything looks in order. The user also has both the resource_user and demand_user roles as well.

Any suggestions?

Thx

Marc
