Hi @RyoyaFukuda,

In ServiceNow, adjusting the calendar view to start the quarter in April instead of January involves configuring the fiscal calendar settings. Here's a general guide on how to do it:

1. **Access Fiscal Calendar Settings**: Navigate to the Fiscal Calendar module in ServiceNow. You can usually find this under "System Definition" or by searching for "Fiscal Calendar" in the application navigator.

2. **Define Fiscal Year**: Set the fiscal year to start in April. This may involve adjusting the start month and other settings to align with your organization's fiscal calendar.

3. **Adjust Quarter Settings**: Configure the quarter settings to reflect the new fiscal year start. Typically, this involves defining quarters as April to June, July to September, October to December, and January to March.

4. **Update Calendar Views**: After adjusting the fiscal calendar settings, you may need to update any calendar views or reports to reflect the new fiscal year start. This ensures that dates are displayed correctly across the platform.

5. **Test and Validate**: Before deploying the changes, thoroughly test the calendar views to ensure that dates and quarters are displayed as expected. Validate the settings against your organization's fiscal calendar to confirm accuracy.

6. **Communicate Changes**: Inform users about the update to the fiscal calendar settings and provide any necessary training or documentation to help them understand the new calendar view.

By following these steps, you should be able to adjust the calendar view in the planning console to start the quarter in April instead of January in ServiceNow.

Please accept my solution if it resolves your issue and thumps up.

Hello,

To change the calendar quarter to start in April instead of January in the Planning Console within ServiceNow, you will need to customize the fiscal period settings. Here’s how you can achieve this:

Step 1: Define the Fiscal Year

  1. Navigate to Fiscal Calendar:

    • In the application navigator, type "Fiscal Calendar" and select "Fiscal Calendar".
  2. Create a New Fiscal Calendar:

    • Click on the "New" button to create a new fiscal calendar.
  3. Configure the Fiscal Calendar:

    • Name: Provide a name for the fiscal calendar (e.g., "Fiscal Calendar Starting April").
    • Start Date: Set the start date to the beginning of the fiscal year (e.g., April 1st of the current year).
    • Fiscal Unit: Select "Year".
  4. Save the fiscal calendar.

Step 2: Define Fiscal Quarters

  1. Create Fiscal Periods:

    • After saving the fiscal calendar, you'll need to define the fiscal quarters.
  2. Create a New Fiscal Period:

    • Click on "New" under the "Fiscal Periods" related list.
  3. Configure the Fiscal Period:

    • Name: Name the period (e.g., "Q1 FY 2024").
    • Start Date: Set the start date (e.g., April 1st).
    • End Date: Set the end date (e.g., June 30th).
    • Fiscal Unit: Select "Quarter".
    • Fiscal Calendar: Select the fiscal calendar you created earlier.
    • Period Number: Set the period number to 1 for Q1, 2 for Q2, etc.
  4. Repeat for the remaining quarters:

    • Q2: July 1st to September 30th
    • Q3: October 1st to December 31st
    • Q4: January 1st to March 31st

Step 3: Associate Fiscal Calendar with the Planning Console

  1. Navigate to Planning Console Configuration:

    • In the application navigator, type "Planning Console" and select "Planning Console Configuration".
  2. Modify Configuration:

    • Ensure the planning console configuration is set to use the fiscal calendar you have created.
  3. Verify and Save:

    • Verify that the planning console now reflects the fiscal quarters starting in April.
