SPM doesn't have different program structures for different program categories.
I've seen hospital systems use SPM for Epic upgrades, which is probably close in scale.

We are just kicking off a SAP ERP Implementation. We will be using ServiceNow to manage the project and are on San Diego. We created 1 Program and will have several projects tied to that program. The ERP Implementation is being broken down into many projects and phases, which will make our resource planning easier to manage. As of this moment the one program works, but we have had talks of creating additional ones to organize if we get too big. I refuse to use Sub-Projects because it messes up Resource Planning. Please let me know if there is any other information I can help with. Sounds like you are going to have as much fun as us. Good Luck!

Hi Angela. It's been over a year but we're now planning out how we're going to organize and manage the SAP implementation in SPM. We're smarter in that time but still going back and forth on whether to organize by project or program level. Can you share how you've decided to structure your projects in SPM?

We have structured our projects by Program and it is working great! We are going live with Wave 1 in May and planning out Wave 2 and Wave 3 right now which will both go live next year. In each Program we have separate projects to keep all of the work organized and run by the different PMs. In Wave 1 Program we have 18 active projects right now, I think our highest time was around 25. Let me know if there is anything else I can try to help with. Thanks!
