Generally speaking in ITSM the ITIL role is associated with a license. For example, if I have 100 users with the ITIL role then I am using 100 licenses of ITSM. What is the role which determines the license use in SPM?

go to table license_role and group by application. Then identify an application from the SPM product like "Project Portfolio Management". The column "Role Type" contains what you are looking for:

To put @Maik Skoddow's response in context; the "license_role" table to which he is referring to is the Subscription Management module which can be accessed by typing "subscription management" in the filter navigator.
