SPW integration import missing some demands

We implemented SPW earlier this year and we want to make sure to include the demands and projects we created before going live with SPW. ServiceNow provides the ability to import into SPW (i.e., generate Planning Item records linked to existing demands and projects) per this document: https://www.servicenow.com/docs/bundle/yokohama-it-business-management/page/product/apw-internal-int...

I discovered a demand that is missing a planning item. The import job goes by created date, and the missing demand was created last year in July of 2024. I noticed in the log history that we already imported all items from last year, but I tried starting another import job more targeted at this record by having the import job look at July and August of last year. It did not import the demand.

Any ideas on why we can't import this demand into SPW?

Nevermind, I discovered why it did not appear to be working. Due to a series of unlikely events including a bug introduced into our production environment by our dev team going undetected for 3 weeks, the record was in fact migrated all along but it did not have the data we expected it to have so the searches I completed/filters I applied kept coming up empty.

Pro tip I learned: whenever you are unsure about the existence of a planning item, try checking Execution item = [sys_id] for the demand/project/etc. record you are looking for.
