Strategic Planning Workspace - Resource assignement - Operational Assignment

Hello,

In the "Resource Management Workspace", I can allocate Operational time. This is very useful and necessary to view the availability for a project oder another task.

Via a "new Operational assignment" I plan :

- KTLO time

- Out of office time.

My question is :

How can I see the difference between these two assignments ?

In my Resource Management Workspace, I see only the number of the "Resource Allocation". Is it possible to display the "operational type", which is more useful than the number of the task ?

(you can have a look to my printscreen).

For RA0001061, I need to see "KTLO"

For RA0001120, I need to see "Out of office".

For the other tasks, the short description is displayed. That's ok.

Thank you for your help and advice.

Have a nice day.

Fabrice

Hi @udryf ,

Adding additional columns is a simple way to achieve seeing more data within RMW, especially your example to differentiate between Assignments.

To add an additional column, follow these steps (also found in this other community post)

  1. Go to the sn_plng_att_core_resource_assignment table
  2. Change the view to "Resource Manager"
  3. Right click on one of the column names (for example, right click on "Resource") and go to Configure List Layout
  4. Click Edit this view and move the "Operational work type" from the Available slush bucket to the Selected slush bucket
  5. Go to the Resource Management Workspace
  6. Click on the column configuration icon on the right hand sidebar
  7. Scroll down to the bottom and click "Reset columns"
  8. See that the "Operational work type" column now shows on the workspace
  9. Refresh the page again and see the column populated

Hopefully this provides the solution you were looking for.
