I'm working on Technology Reference Model (TRM), in that I couldn't able to find the relation between TRM and SAM.
I'm stuck in
1. When the product request is approved in TRM then Software product model(cmdb_software_product_model) record is not getting created in SAM.
2. I cannot able to see the versions in TRM product lifecycles (Related list) in software product model record for the existing software product models.
3. How TRM and SAM work together?
Any help will be appreciated.

HI,
TRM Products are related to Software Products [samp_sw_product] if Software Asset Management Pro is installed and the SAM Pro content library available. TRM Products do not reference Software Models at all. TRM Technical Debt is the only place where Software Models are referenced.
Currently, when you request a new Software product via TRM, it is a manual, Asset Management process to create the new Software Product and subsequent Software Models. Obviously a workflow etc could be created to provide some automation of this. it would need to be coordinated with your SAM Pro team. Also, you would want to find a way to drive a request back to SAM Content Services so the new Product is captured under content services if not there already.
The TRM Product Version lifecycles are also independent of any of the SAM tables.
Software Models use a query to drive the Related List in the form. Similar to how TPM find lifecycles, it uses the Publisher, SW Product, Version and Edition fields.
Below is the TRM Reference model and i have attached the same in pdf form.
I hope this helps,
Mark
