Time card for Time off is not creating Time off event in resource calender.

I am creating time off entry for 8 hours using time sheet portal to record PTO.

Two questions:

1) it is not creating entry in resource calender.

2) In resource allocation I can't see this time off is considered in capacity planning.

Hi,

Time Cards are used to fill the actuals against the tasks. You can use it to mark your efforts against different activities and that will generate expense lines for the tasks.

Time card entries have no relationship with Calendar events. We cannot fill time cards in advance, we should fill time cards mostly on the last day of week or in the next week (as per allowed duration configured in time sheet policy)

Hi,

When you create event in resource calendar it will not affect any Resource plans or Resource allocation.

It will only reduce the Resource Availability. Once you add time off your can check resource report for particular user and it will show the reduced time.

Please check below links to learn more about some properties:

https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/vancouver-it-business-management/page/product/resource-management...

Mainly:

"com.snc.resource_management.exclude_events_from_schedule" - the list events will be reduced from availability as per daily hours. If not included in property then it will reduce actual hours like 24 for full day event.

Can you try creating time off record from timesheet portal and check whether resource availability is reduced accordingly. Appreciate your help.

I have done some resource Allocation [Hard] and added calendar events.

Please check below screenshots for my Time Off and OOO events:

Same is reflecting in Resource report.
