Timesheet approval portal for Project Manager

Can a project manager review and approve the timesheets from Timesheet portal? Just like a User Manager can do be default? My understanding is that the project manager can approve the timecards from project records or from pending approvals list but can not do it from Timesheet Portal.

Your understanding is correct, only a User Manager can approve via the Timesheet Portal. Project managers can also reference the Project Manager Dashboard.
