When you create a portfolio plan in SPW the planning state column has a default filter applied. Does anyone know how we can edit that filter and make it stick? I can update it but as soon as I go back in the portfolio plan it goes back to the default. It is not working as expected, I need to be able to select all the states in the filter for it to work. I have a support case opened, but was wondering if anyone else has any ideas? Thanks!

I have the same issue too and will follow this thread. For now, I've configured the Alignment Integration to map a field from the Demand/Project to Planning State (always mapping to the default choice).

Thanks for the reply, glad I am not the only one experiencing issues with it. Can you explain more how you did that? What do you mean mapping to the default choice?

Hi @Karlie,
Sure , it's just a workaround to make the roadmap work for now but you can reference the below to at least get your demands/projects to display on the roadmap without having to update the filter every time:
1.) Navigate to Strategic planning / portfolio planning (depending on your licensing) > Integrations
2.) OOB, you'll see one alignment integration record called: "ServiceNow Internal"
3.) In the table maps related list, you should see an mapping for dmn_demands to sn_align_core_demand. For us, we're going to leverage Impact and the choices there to always map to Planning State = "Prioritized"

Have the same issue. Opene a Case to ServiceNow and this is ServiceNow response:
Upon checking further, we can confirm that this is expected behaviour. The product is designed to show a default filter of Planning State, which is Prioritised in the Roadmap filters.
We understand this can be causing some confusion if you are not using the Planning State column.
So in the upcoming release, we are removing the default filter on the roadmap.
Our product team has confirmed that this will be resolved in our upcoming release.
If you do not prefer waiting, then we have another choice, which should be done carefully. You will need to remove the mention of the default filters of the roadmap at 2 places:
1. sys_ux_client_script [sys_id = 854c72103700ea10afea195c24924b33] - Update portfolio plan view data
2. sys_ux_client_script_include [sys_id = c54e2ccd439721100aa3783c5bb8f2ce] - ReloadPortfolioChildViewports
Both these scripts mention a variable in them called "defaultRoadmapQuickFilter", which is currently set to:
[{"dataType": "multiple_choice","planning_state": [{"value": "prioritized","displayValue": "Prioritized"}]}];
it needs to be set to - []
So the change should look like:
const defaultRoadmapQuickFilter = [];
This should solve it for you immediately, but please be advised that if not taken care of to override during update, updates on this file will miss out and cause further problems.
