Hi all!
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience using BOTH Test Management applications? My team is in the process of implementing Test Management 2.0 and now they are thinking about using both applications for different purposes.
Test Management 1.0 would be for UAT
Test Management 2.0 would be used for QA/Unit Testing
Both of these applications would need to integrate with projects and agile 2.0. The reason we initially went with 2.0 was because 1.0 doesn't integrate with projects/agile OOB.
Does anyone have any experience using both? Can anyone think of reasons why we should use both or should not use both applications?
Thank you!
Sierra

I am debating whether we move or not so would be interested in this answer. We utilise TM1.0 for our twice yearly regression testing for our upgrades and allow access to over 150 business stakeholders for manual testing. We provide them with their group test plans which they can update. I find it difficult to see how I would be able to do that in TM2.0....so I too would be interested on whether i can retain both for different purposes.

Hi Andy,
Since I've posted this question, my team went through a pretty extensive pros/cons list for 1.0 vs. 2.0 and landed on using just 2.0 for UAT and QA testing. We are doing quite a bit of configuration to make 2.0 work for various testing types, including an excel template for our business stakeholders to write their test cases outside of ServiceNow and then an admin will upload them.
I know that's not super helpful! It's been quite the learning curve trying to understand 2.0 and how it can work for us. All the best luck!

Im still not convinced i should move from 1.0 to 2.0 as the vast majority of our use across the business is for regression testing upgrades twice a year which involves a combination of automated testing and manual testing by over 150 stakeholders. I find v1.0 very flexible in terms of the way we allocate test plans out to each different group of testers across the business. I would like to know if TM1.0 is on a roadmap to be deprecated.

Hi Andy,
That makes sense! Our team has had to make a lot of configuration changes to make 2.0 work for all types of testing so I can see why you would want to stick to 1.0!
