Hi,
I have created a module under service catalog -> open records. Want to display the module only to a group. Please suggest how to achieve it

Hi,
It worked :-). Thank you so much. Actually I gave role as ITIL in the module and that is the reason the module was visible to many users.
Also I checked only for itil

As I understand all you want to do is to secure/hide a submodule for certain groups, or make it available for certain groups.
Why not you give the roles access to the modules and assign those roles to the respective groups.
How would you achieve that:
1) Go to Application Menus---> Select the Application-->And a module entry.
2) Fill the Roles in the "Roles field" let say (Role A), which will allow only users of Role A to see the sub module.
3) And now Map the Groups whom you want to give the access to the Role A.
See the Attached screenshot, this is a module "Create new" under "Incident" application, give the roles in the roles field here:

Hi Gaurav,
Thanks for the suggestion. I found the reason why Sneha's code was not working.
I gave role as itil and so it was visible to all itil users
