What are the aggregate tables in resource management? What they can be used for?

I see tables like

  1. resource_aggregate_monthly
  2. resource_aggregate_daily
  3. resource_allocation_daily

What's the use of these? How they get populated? What should I expect if I run reports on these or should I run reports one these if my goal is to see the requested, confirmed, allocated info for the resources?

Please suggest.

These tables are what ServiceNow uses to allocate the time to the resources and spread it out divided over the timespan.

For instance a resource plan for a group of 3 with 100 hours each for the next 3 months.  ServiceNow Will divide the time over Months and further over days - so 33 hours for each person divided over a mth and approx 1 hour a day.

These data points are used later when you look up the Group users allocations in Resource Reports/ Workbench  and try to see how much time they have available for other projects in the future.
