Draft, Submitted, Screening, Qualified, Approved, Deferred, and Completed are the States of a Demand. I have a solid interpretation of all of these except Qualified. Does anyone have a decent definition of Qualified, and the other states for that matter. Thank Uou.

Hi,
Generically, Qualified means that the Demand has gathered all required information according to the process of your teams/PMO, passed screening by stakeholders and SMEs and is now ready for review and approval by the appropriate decision makers.
It is intended that customers derive the particulars of the process around Demand and the detail of the state definition does indeed vary as we see in the other responses here. One suggestion is that if at all possible, what process(es) you align to Qualified, have all your PMOs/Teams using Demand agree upon the definition. Not necessarily the actual process(es), those will most certainly vary but the definition. I suspect that is the aim of your question here.
hope this helps,
Mark

My Company does not use the OOB Demand process. With that in mind, I looked on the ServiceNow wiki and here is a link that explains the states of the Demand.
To my company the Qualified state indicates that the demand has been estimated and we're pending charging information to proceed. Once we have the charging information the Demand is moved to the Approved state.

We use Qualified as a step to review the demand with the internal ServiceNow platform team and make sure that it is aligned with the direction where the platform is going and it is technically possible. Maybe they will say "that feature is coming on the next release", etc.
