why external users cannot able to access Visual task board even they are member?

Hi All,

Actually on Project we a Custom list collector field , in that we have add our customers to that, now on the visual task board we added them as a members , so they can go through the vtb though link, but when they are click on that project there will be error message like

Please help me to solve this

Hi @Deepika61 ,

If the customer is not able to see the Visual task board module under the self service then please check the role required to see the module and also check if user has same role or not.

 if he is able to access the link

• If still not, then probably there is some role related issue.
• Check if your client does not have the required roles to access the VTB feature. To use VTB, you need to have one of the following roles: vtb_admin, vtb_user, vtb_read, or admin.

thanks for the response, he donot have module level acesss , but he can access the vtb through link, but the problem is when he click on that particular project its getting error

Regarding the roles we are not supposed to give Admin to everyone, we donot have other roles which you mentioned for VTB

Without Admin and Other vtb roles our internal employees able to access visual task board

Hi @Deepika61 ,

Internal users has snc_internal role, which gives them access to VTB automatically.

Now external users has snc_external role, which limits them with many accesses.

Check if he has access to check that project in general from native UI not from VTB. if he cannot see it, then the external user doesn't have permission to Projects, which requires, Project_user role.
