For the longest time I said no to sub-projects because of how confusing their rollups were on the UI and in the reporting tools. I don't think that's the case anymore in the new workspaces, particularly the project workspaces. With the exception of RIDACs, all costs, benefits, expenses and resourcing roll up nicely to a parent project of sub-projects. It's quite similar to the program-project relationship now.
With the SPW/PPW, reporting and rollups are more flexible than ever, so you can configure them to get info you need in one portfolio plan.
Has anyone tried sub-projects lately? If so, how has your experience been?
