After Vancouver update we get this error The resource was preloaded using link preload but not used

After Vancouver update we get this error message in console:

The resource https://XXX/uxasset/set-cache-buster/1692590428528.js was preloaded using link preload but not used within a few seconds from the window's load event. Please make sure it has an appropriate `as` value and it is preloaded intentionally.

We have some strange behavior with pages built in UI Builder.  Thought it might help to track down the root case of the error.  Does anyone have ideas?

I've seen this too, in Utah patch 6.

Hi.

Any solutions here? I am seeing this error in two scenarios:

When clicking a button on a modal that triggers a client script in UI builder. The script is triggered, but the events (I am using helpers in the script) is not firing. But I see this error instead.

I am also experiencing that the content of the page is not loading (only the menu). I see this message in these scenarios as well.

Utah patch 6.

I have two cases going with ServiceNow, but they are new so nothing to report yet.

We have just upgraded our sub prods to Vancouver and are seeing this too as well as some other issues.

  1. We have had various issues with the App/Favourites navigator not loading intermittently, they just hang on the loading circle when clicked and show no content.
  2. When SN Utils is enabled we have the above issue almost constantly.
  3. When SN Utils is enabled the user profile in the top right disappears completely.

If you are having issues it would be interesting to know whether you have SN Utils and whether disabling it resolves your issues. I can recreate our problem in all of our instances in Chrome, Edge and Firefox if I enable the SN Utils extension, I have checked the browser console and cannot see anything that would indicate what the issue could be.

I'd just like to point out that in my Vancouver PDI SN Utils appears to work perfectly.

TIA

Hello James,

We also upgraded our sub-prods to Vancouver the other day and are having the same issues as you. However, we do not have SN Utils installed due to restrictions from the client.

Have you learned anything new since the you wrote?

Hi,

I'm afraid not yet but if we do I will update here.

The only thing I would add is that we have had a complaint of the same behaviour with the navigation menus without SN Utils in one of our non upgraded environments.
