Can I set a user's password via a script?

I want to create a large number of users using an import set.

I can create user records, but I'm having trouble setting the initial passwords.

 

I'm trying to set the passwords all at once using a repair script, but it's not working.

Is it possible to set passwords for a large number of users at once?
