Assessment Simulator Task 3 Validation Fails – Welcome to ServiceNow (Zurich)

I’m currently taking the Micro-Certification: Welcome to ServiceNow (Zurich) and I’m stuck on Assessment Simulator – Task 3: Create and Comment on a Record.

I impersonated the Platform User, followed the steps, and successfully created the incident. However, the task validation keeps failing with the message:
“Did you add and post a comment?”

After reading some older community posts (from the Xanadu release), I tried creating a new incident, saving it first without a comment, and then adding the comment in a separate step. Unfortunately, the validation still fails with the same message.

I’m also unable to delete the incidents, so I’ve tried creating multiple new incidents using different approaches, but nothing seems to work. At this point, I’m completely stuck.

Has anyone faced this issue in the Zurich release or found a workaround?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your response. I tried the solution you suggested multiple times, but it still didn’t work. As a last option, I terminated the instance and restarted it, and that resolved the issue.

Hi @Sahithi K

Sometimes the instance sync and task validation fail. Even if it looks like you followed the right steps, it may still fail. Don’t worry — try again the next day by creating an incident and adding a comment. This can happen even when you follow the steps shared.

Thanks for your response. My post took about two days to get approved, and I’ve completed the course now. I tried the solution you suggested, but it still didn’t work. As a last option, I terminated the instance and restarted it, and that resolved the issue.
