Authentication to remote instance failed Method failed

Hi @aamichauhan 

 

As Atul said , save the password and uncheck the password need reset checkbox in user profile.

Also check following thing:

1. Ensure the user account (for remote/source instance) is active and not locked out.

2. The user must have the admin role on the remote instance.

3. Multi-factor authentication must be disabled for the specific service user being used for the connection.

4. Ensure user is not forced to authenticate via LDAP . Open the user record in the sys_user table on the remote instance. If the Source field contains a value (usually LDAP), clear it

5.  If this occurred after a clone, the credentials on the target instance often need to be re-entered because the old password was overwritten.
