Generating PDFs of Incidents inclufing attached images

Hello everyone,

 

Its my first question here in the Community. Unfortunately I haven't found and answer for that question anywhere else. I hope you can help me 🙂

 

We have a requirement to be able to generate PDFs of Tickets (Incidents, Changes, Problems...) including the attached images. Currently the attachments names are displayed at the top of the generated PDF, but they are not displayed among the comments and work notes of the activity stream.

 

Does anyone know how to have the attached images displayed in a generated PDF file?

so the generated PDF should include images attached to the respective record?

If yes then you can use PDF Generation API for this

Hi Ankur, thank you for dedicating your time to help me with this topic! I am still checking the PDFGnerationAPI, but in the meanwhile I found these KBs from ServiceNow which seems to point exactly to the issue I am facing:

  1. During PDF export, image which is a part of html field is not exported - Support and Troubleshooting
  2. Images in activity log Additional comments field do not print - Known Error - Now Support Portal

Would you know if the PDFGeneratorAPI would be a workaround for the known problems listed above?
