How can I create a report in ServiceNow Report Designer?

I am learning ServiceNow fundamentals. Can someone explain the basic steps to create a report using Report Designer?

Hello @23d41a0534 ,

To get started, navigate to > Reports in the Application Navigator and click Create New.

There are 4 main steps to get created you report :

1.Data : Define what you are reporting on.

This is where you establish the foundation of your report.

• Report Name, Data Source, Table

2.Type : Choose your visualization.

Once the platform knows what data to pull, you select how to display it. ServiceNow offers different visualization types, categorized logically :

• Lines and Bars

• Pies and Donuts

• Time Series

• Scores

• List

3.Configure : Organize and filter the data.

This tab changes depending on the report Type you selected. For a standard chart (like a Bar chart), you will set:

• Group by

• Aggregation

• Condition Builder (Filter)

4.Style : Polish the appearance.

Here, you adjust the visual elements to make the report presentation-ready.

• General

• Title

• Legend

• Axis
