hi @shwetabhard ,
ServiceNow ITSM is one of the most in-demand areas in the ServiceNow ecosystem because almost every organization uses Incident, Change, Problem, and Request Management processes.
To prepare for an ITSM role:
- Learn Incident Management and the complete incident lifecycle.
- Understand Problem Management and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Learn Change Management, including Standard, Normal, and Emergency Changes.
- Understand Request Management, Catalog Items, RITMs, and Catalog Tasks.
- Learn SLA configuration and how SLA calculations work.
- Gain knowledge of CMDB and Configuration Items (CIs).
- Practice Assignment Rules, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and Flow Designer.
- Learn Knowledge Management and Service Catalog concepts.
- Understand reporting, dashboards, and Performance Analytics basics.
- Study ITIL concepts, as ITSM is based on ITIL best practices.
- Work on real-world ITSM scenarios and ticket workflows.
- Consider earning CSA and CIS-ITSM certifications.
Career opportunities include ITSM Developer, ITSM Consultant, Senior ServiceNow Developer, Solution Architect, Platform Owner, and Service Delivery Manager. Since you already have ServiceNow development experience, ITSM expertise can help you move into higher-paying consultant and architect roles in the future.

Hi @shwetabhard
Even though you have received several answers, I don't see that any of them are right in stating something based on the information that you have provided. So basic, what do you mean by ServiceNow ITSM role? Is this a developer, administrator, process role or something different? Is this a current job position that your searching for or have found? Please be more specific to be best possible guided.
If my answer has helped with your question, please mark my answer as the accepted solution and give a thumbs up.
Best regards
Anders
