How can one enable classic view in knowledge base to edit articles

Sorry couldn't find the Knowledge Management community under location picker.

I am trying to enable the classic view of knowledge article editor as I am not very well versed with the new interface (obviously)

I needed help getting this view back:

Thanks in advance.

Hi My Friend,

Your trying to get back to the old (classic) Knowledge article editor instead of the newer workspace style one — totally understandable a lot of people prefer that layout.

In most cases the classic editor is still there but it depends on how you open the article.

Try this first:

  • Open Knowledge articles from the main platform navigation Knowledge → Articles not from Workspace.

  • Once the article opens, check the view selector at the top and switch to “Classic” if its available.

If your always landing in the new editor, its usuallly because:

  • Workspace editing is enabled, or

  • your instance is defaulting to the new Knowledge authoring experience.

An admin can switch this behavior off via Knowledge/Workspace settings or system properties but in newer releases the classic editor is gradually being phased out so sometimes its limited to certain roles or navigation paths.
