Sorting Order of Articles in Customer knowledge base (Release Notes)

Hi Team,

 

We have ServiceNow instance for our customers and for them we also have a knowledge base.

The dedicated knowledge base is available only to customers(users) who are logged in to the portal otherwise it never shows up - attached 1.png

Knowledge base name - Release Notes

I have questions related to the release notes of these articles. On the main page, when I click on release notes (attached 2.png , articles comes in order defined in server script of the widget - refer 3.png. I have tested it on v24.5 - v24.1 version and updates 24.1 first and then 24.2, then 24.3 and so on till 24.5. [Ignore if 24.1 is on top in 2.png because I tested again]

But as soon as I open any of the product categories from the left column in 2.png, sorting order gets messed up. I have checked the settings of category page portal designer as well but it shows sort by published date but it is not working as intended - 5.png

Please could you help with the solution to this sorting or direction of next steps where should I investigate further?
