I am currently facing a problem in Metrics functionality. Currently the system must prompt the user to define a metric definition before setting up a new metrics. Is there any way we can disable the metric definition function and just set up everything like the metric properties, frequency, method and etc. Currently the fields are uneditable because it is populating from the metric definition that is linked to. I have disable most of the related business rule but the related fields that are populating from the metric definition table is gone and not editable for now. How can I approach this matter?

Please post or move this question in the board for the GRC product, which I believe you are referring to here. This should increase the chance of getting your question answered.
Please note there is also a ServiceNow platform feature called Metrics, which has a different purpose, and I believe your question has caused some confusion here because it's in the "SysAdmin Forum".
