How to revert a changes made by business rule on a table?

If a business rule has made changes to several fields in thousands of records. How could it be reverted?

Hi there,
What kind of records? Task records? Or artifacts like Script Includes, etc?
Do you also know the old value of those records?
Is it something you can fix forward, with for example a fix script?
Is there audit on table of the records concerned or not?
You can always request a backup restore through ServiceNow Support. Not necessarily to your production instance, though to a temp instance. So that you do have access to the old state of the records. That might help you already.
