In send email action in a flow, a plain email returns error 'DOmain contains illegal character'

We are using a send email action in some flows. When entering a plain 123@example.com email adress, the follow error is returned:

One or more email adresses was invalid (Domain contains illegal character)

As per servicenow documentation about Send Email action, it should be possible to enter email adresses here.

Hello,

I forgot to update this question. I made a case on ServiceNow Support on this issue. They replied back this is an error in chrome/edge version 105. This problem should not exist in other browsers (i.e. firefox).

Possible workarounds:
- Enter a placeholder email adress, save and test. Then change the email adress to the desired one, and save again.

- Copy-paste the email adress in the field instead of typing it.

- Use a different browser (Chrome and Edge both have the issue).

By the way, we are also on San Diego but I don't think its version related.

Hi @Bart Jan Bultma

I have tried the same in my PDI .
I created a flow with an action - sent email and keep the "To address "-  123@example.com
It is working as expected without any error.

Please find the screenshot for the same.
Please mark it correct and helpful if it solve your query.

Thank You !

Regards,
Nandini

Hello Nandini,

I understand that it would work on a PDI. OOTB this should work, so I don't understand why it doesnt work in my instance. I don't know what could be blocking this, so my question is:

What could be blocking this functionality in my instance?

I am getting the same error. I wonder if this error is version related. We are on San Diego, yours?
