First off, I'm following the guided setup, and I've gone through this process on two instances already, but having been through twice now, I'm not sure I'm doing this the best way.
The main issue is that when I try to migrate my ServiceNow search from Zing to AI Search, I get the following error in the migration log when running the migration tool:
- "[Converter] Error: Table: sys_user_group is expected to create an Indexed Source only through the "AI Search Index Sources" plugin. Please activate this plugin before running the migration job"
- Where "sys_user_group" is like 20-30 different tables that this comes up for, one by one, each error halting the migration+indexing process.
The error, as stated, is not accurate. I already have the AI Search plugin installed. There is no plugin specifically titled "AI Search Index Sources" though the table with that name is installed when I install the AI Search plugin.
Now, I can fix this error by going into the indexed sources table and creating a source for the table "sys_user_group", and if I do this for every table the migration errors on, it eventually does work. However, I'm not sure this is the correct way to remediate this error. There are other tables that do not already have an existing AI Search Indexed Source record, that never error out, and in fact create this record during the migration. My impression, perhaps inaccurate, is that when I run the migration tool, it is supposed to create any AI Search Indexed Sources that are required by that Search Application.
So what does this error actually mean, and is there a more effective way to remediate this error other than to create every indexed source it errors on?

Just wanted to come in and confirm that we see this too. It looks to be working fine for us sub-prod, but in PROD, nope!
I tried manually adding the indexed source and it worked like you said.
Neither sub-prod instance I checked had the "AI Search Index Sources" plugin available or listed as installed, but my PROD instance does list it but it fails to install.

Were you guys able to get a solution for this, @Joe1 @John from Space ?
We have also landed in the same boat where our zing to ai search migration for the global search failed with the same error..

I think we had to reach out to HI to get the plugin installed. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Sure thanks,
Anyways, I've raised another thread for this, got some insights there, and yes maybe need to do something on the Store or HI team- still checking. Will update in that thread.
Putting that post thread here, just in case it's helpful to others
(FYI- this is still in progress)
