Hi All
I have had a user complain that they do not get the option to indent tasks in project workspace. It does however give them the option in the legacy project planning console.
I have checked, and i can see the option to indent tasks. When i give the affected user the 'admin' role temporarily, he also gets the option. This tells me there is a role or ACL required to see it.
I have tried the PPS roles (pps_admin and pps_resource) and the project roles (project_manager and project_portfolio_user). None of them give him the option to indent.
This is my view (as an admin)
and the user (with all of the pps and project roles)

Hi @Kai Tingey ,
Also I was able to replicate this in my PDI. Check the sorting on the column, if there is a sorting set on a column, it isn't showing the Indent task Action. Check it by removing the sorting. You can click on column 2 times to remove sorting.
Let me know if it helped you & please mark the response as correct.
Thanks

Hi Nootan,
Thanks for the reply. I've added the sn_ppm_read role to my affected user and they still dont have the indent task option. I have checked that there is no sorting on any of the columns and there isn't.

Hi Kai,
It seems that the ability to indent tasks in the project workspace is controlled by specific roles or ACLs. Since the affected user gains the option when assigned the 'admin' role, its likely that the necessary permissions are tied to a more privileged role or specific ACL that grants this capability.
To resolve
Role Verification: Confirm that the user has correct roles that include the ability to modify project tasks example it_project_user, it_project_manager
Let me know if this helps!

I tried those two roles, but indent task is still not an option for the user.
