Role required to indent project tasks in project workspace

Hi All

I have had a user complain that they do not get the option to indent tasks in project workspace. It does however give them the option in the legacy project planning console.

I have checked, and i can see the option to indent tasks. When i give the affected user the 'admin' role temporarily, he also gets the option. This tells me there is a role or ACL required to see it.

I have tried the PPS roles (pps_admin and pps_resource) and the project roles (project_manager and project_portfolio_user). None of them give him the option to indent.

This is my view (as an admin)

and the user (with all of the pps and project roles)

The same thing is happening to us, any news on how to solve it?

I have the same issue and added the sn_ppm_read role and nothing changed.

I logged this with HI support and the resolution was two fold

1. I had to update the Project Workspace plugin to the latest version (apparently this is a known defect, and resolved in v5.0 - we were still on 4.2)

2. The affected user then lost access to everything in the planning tab of project workspace (it was totally blank), so I had to delete the user preferences project workspace columns;

Go to the User Preference [sys_user_preference] Table
Filter for User = Affected User
Delete the "pm_project_workspace_columns" User Preference

after that, the user regained access to the planning console and was able to see the indent option.

hope that helps

Thank you @Kai Tingey
We updated to the latest version, in a DEV environment the problem was solved, but in another QA environment the screen is blank and does not react for any user, we deleted all the preferences and nothing...

This worked for me.  Once I deleted the User Preference we were back on-track again.

Thanks,

Calisse
