Hi everyone,

I recently obtained my CSA and am currently an intern/SkillBridge participant working as a Technical Consultant at ServiceNow/Insource Inc. I'm looking to transition into a System Administrator role.

Any advice on certifications, skills to focus on, or resources for learning and networking would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi,

I would try and use this as an opportunity to network and grow within your current situation. If you have your CSA and you're an Skillbridge intern while holding a technical consultant role at an organization, then you're actually better off than most others. Seek out leadership and inform them of your ambitions and ideally, try and lock in a full-time permanent role.

Outside of that, after CSA, since you mentioned transitioning into a System Administrator role, then I'd recommend looking at the Certified Implementation Specialist - IT Service Management (CIS-ITSM) certification next.

For other resources for learning and such, feel free to check out my ServiceNow focused YouTube channel: Allenovation, which has lots of great videos for individuals who are at the same point as you in your journey.
