I am looking for information on what it will take to install a self hosted instance. I do not have licenses and have not purchased the product. It seems like all of the information I am interested in requires a paid support plan. Is there any documentation that I can read prior to making a decision to go with ServiceNow or some other tool? Yes I realize that SN is typically a SaaS and will function better that way. But, I don't make those decisions here in my large company.
Thanks

Hi,
It seems what you are looking for requires a Servicenow customer Account. I know information exists based on my previous role. Contact a Servicenow Sales person. You should be able to get some information. A typical instance has multiple application nodes (Apache, Java, ...) and a database server (maria db) including a stand-by server (or more) for fault tolerance.

Thanks, I was hoping not to open that can of worms. Once that door is open it is hard to close 🙂

I've had an instance hosted on the macbook I used for my work. Of course, performance was not great, but possible.
But there is plenty of 'material' on the web about Servicenow. Great demonstrations of different functionality on youtube. and at some point in your evaluation, you will need to consider cost. I doubt you'll get spammed by asking for a Demo or more information.
Self-hosting topic here in the Community is rare, many customers choose to self-host though.

Thanks again. I am fully aware of the system. I have utilized SNOW in the past. I'll contact someone and see what I can get.
