Hi all,
I'm relatively new to ServiceNOW. My current role is a Configuration Compliance Manager in Security Operations. I work in a large Financial Services company, and we are expanding our use of Service NOW enterprise wide. We are in the middle of a large re-release, and our developers are very busy re-implementing many of the core ITIL modules in a new environment. Meanwhile, I'm in production happily working away. I'm realizing if I had more permissions in my module, I could offload work from the development team and get things done faster. Things like enabling the ability to import data from excel spreadsheets and maintaining the assignment groups, nothing too develoer-oriented like scripting at this point. We're trying to use SecOps Out of the Box as much as possible.
My question is this - is there anyone else out there who has implemented a Specialized Admin role in their company? I'm keen to learn more. I'm thinking this would be a great way for me to get things in my area done faster without creating a lot of risk I might damage our module.
Thank you.

Hi @Greg Stone1
There is nothing called Specialized Admin, and the work/term you mentioned is mainly a dev work or admin must know. No doubt, if you have a good knowledge you can pick up the dev work and bring in your bucket , which can be low code / no code and this is the best path to learn N Grow Together.
If my response proves useful, please indicate its helpfulness by selecting " Accept as Solution" and " Helpful." This action benefits both the community and me.

If you read the SNAF book: it defines a specialized administrator. These are roles like "tags_admin, catalog_admin, survey_admin"
I think this question was how to set up a role that is delegated as such kind of *_admin role, where you need either "admin OR specialized_admin" role.
