What is the right number for license allocation that ServiceNow will charge?

Hi there,

Does anyone have experience in subscription management?

Following the KB from ServiceNow I've mapped groups to the ITSM License. But the number "Subscribed User" in the related list is different from the Allocated in the Subscription Management Dashboard.

I've applied that filter, so now the number of subscribed users in this related list could be approximately accurate to the ServiceNow Compliance report right?

Hi @Minh Huy Lam Qu

all numbers in the Subscription Dashboard are only rough indicators but at the end ServiceNow counts licenses in a more specific way. For example, only active users who have logged in during the last 365 days are counted. Furthermore, a user consumes only one license even though he is assigned to different user groups that are considered for license counting. And also often forgotten are the users with the admin role, as they also consume a full license, if they are not already member in one of the license groups.

Hi @Minh Huy Lam Qu

yes, I think so. And in my experience, whatever you filter in your instance, you will never get exact the same values as from the compliance reports. I have no idea why.

Thanks, Maik. I believe that ServiceNow has other conditions to count the right allocation 😁.

Btw, thank you for your information.
