Why Approval For is empty?

Hello all,

In the Approvals, when I check for a KB article the Configuration Item column is showing empty.

But when I open the KB article and check, the Configuration Item field is filled with some CI but it is not showing in the list view of approvals. 

I came to know that, the Approval For column should be filled with the record and hence it's Configuration item will be shown,

But my question is why Approval For is showing empty?

is there a way to show Configuration Item column of Kb articles in the approvals list view?

This is per design only, as KA table is not extended from Task table.
