I am trying to register for the Data Foundations exam.
The page seems to be hanging when it says it's picking up data from Pearson.
is there something I've overlooked and/or do others have a similiar experience?

Raise a case to Now Learning support mentioning your issue with screen shot within ServiceNow University.

Yeah, this is a pretty common issue, so nothing to worry about—you haven’t missed anything.
What’s happening is that the page gets stuck while trying to connect with Pearson VUE, and sometimes that handoff just fails or takes too long.
In most cases, it’s just a browser/session problem. You can try opening the page in incognito mode, clearing your cache, or switching to another browser like Chrome or Edge. Also make sure pop-ups are allowed, because Pearson usually opens in a new window.
If it still doesn’t work, just wait a bit and try again later; it can be a temporary issue on their side.
So yeah, nothing wrong on your end, just a small glitch that usually gets fixed with these quick steps
