Ive heard 2 things and I wanted to confirm which was accurate. To get the CIS certification do you only need to take the Implementation course without fundamentals or do you need those 2 courses.
Thanks

Hi Genna,
While the docs say that you need both, I find in practice many people attend only the implementation course. Some people don't do the fundamentals at all. They complete the implementation and get the voucher which they can use to sit the exam.
If possible, it's better to do both of course. But I don't think its mandatory in practice.
Hope this helps.

Hi there,
Pre-requisite for certification is: you need a voucher. No voucher, no exam. How to obtain a voucer? In most cases, by following the advanced/implementation course. For only a few, the fundamentals course will get you a voucher.
There are pre-requisites on courses, though are they mandatory? No! Obviously, the pre-requisites are there for a reason. Though anyone can enroll for an implementation/advanced course. Even if you didn't follow the fundamentals course, even if you don't have CSA cert. I have even experienced multiple times people enrolled to courses who had only seen ServiceNow for the first time a week before!
If my answer helped you in any way, please then mark it as helpful.
Kind regards,
Mark
