Currently Preparing for the CAD Looking for Practice Questions & Mock Tests

Hey everyone!

I’m currently preparing for the ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) exam and have completed most of the learning material and hands-on practice. At this stage, I’m specifically looking for quality practice questions and mock tests to evaluate my readiness and identify weak areas.

What I’m Looking For

I’d really appreciate recommendations for:

  • Realistic CAD practice questions
  • Full-length mock tests (timed, exam-like format)
  • Scenario-based questions (especially scripting & security)
  • Explanations for answers (to understand the “why”)

Key Topics I Want to Practice More

If possible, I’m looking for mock questions that cover:

  • Application design & data modeling

  • Client vs Server scripting (UI Policies, Business Rules, Script Includes)

  • ACLs, roles, and application security

  • Flow Designer & workflow automation

  • REST integrations & external data

  • Update sets, application deployment & versioning

Questions for Those Who’ve Taken the CAD Exam

  • Which practice tests helped you the most?
  • Did mock exams reflect the real exam difficulty?
  • Any free or paid resources you’d personally recommend?
  • Were there topics where mock tests helped you avoid surprises in the exam?

Let’s Help Each Other

If you have links, suggestions, or personal experience with CAD practice questions or mock exams, please share them here. I believe this thread can help many others who are preparing for the exam as well.

Hi @MariaJean

I have given CAD exam recently, I relied mostly on e book and built a custom application following e book to register and remember the concepts.

Regarding mock exams there are tons available on Udemy, select the one which is latest and rated highly.

Personally I have gone through You tube videos where they discuss about the exam questions as it is freely available, the scripting questions discussed there were helpful. I took notes of those and wrote a article, you can check for ServiceNow scripting concepts:

All the best for exam

Hi @MariaJean ,

I would recommend you to only look towards the official learning material, as mock tests are known to have false-positives. Utilize enough time to study the material and learn the material. To just take the certification without knowing your stuff doesn't benefit anybody.

If my answer has helped with your question, please mark my answer as the accepted solution and give a thumbs up.

Best regards
Anders

Hi @MariaJean

For any mainline exam, the official eBook and training materials should be your single source of truth. Relying on dumps is risky and greatly increases the chances of failure.

I’d recommend the following approach:

  • Study the training material thoroughly — go through it line by line, word by word, at least 2–3 times.

  • Practice the labs multiple times — complete each lab 3–4 times, and make sure you fully understand the steps instead of just finishing them.

  • Follow the official eBook carefully — review it at least 2–3 times to reinforce the concepts.
