Which Ebooks should be sufficient to clear the CIS-HR exams

Hi @rashmichaud 

 

If I am not wrong, Servicenow stopped giving ebook for CIS exam now. You need to follow only HR training only.

As @Dr Atul G- LNG mentioned, ServiceNow has stopped providing official eBooks for all the CIS exams.

 

You can go through the CIS-HR course in ServiceNow UniversityHuman Resources Service Delivery (HRSD) Implementation - ServiceNow University.

I took the CIS HR exam in December 2025 and an eBook was available as seen here:

But it depends on what versions is the course. 

Left side Xanadu, eBook is available

Right side Zurich, eBook isn't available

I cleared CIS-HR on Oct'2025. I am sharing my experience how I have cleared CIS -HR.

 

1. Completed Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD) Fundamentals  thoroughly.

  • I reviewed the content multiple times to understand the terminology and functionality clearly

2. I carefully went through the syllabus. The exam consists of the following domains:

  • Describe the basic structure of a Lifecycle Event and a Journey

  • Describe how Platform, role, and contextual security are used in ServiceNow

3. I practiced extensively using mock questions. There are many free resources available on sites like Quizlet and ExamTopics, as well as paid courses on platforms like Udemy.

 

4. Whenever I was unsure about a question, I revisited the course material on ServiceNow University to strengthen my understanding.

 

Note: Make sure  all 4 domains of HRSD , you are confident -> Then only go for exam!
